  • St John’s United Methodist Church

Honor Flight of Northern New Mexico is a 501c-3 dedicated to providing veterans with honor and closure by taking them free of charge to reflect upon their memorials in Washington, D.C.

Congregation Beit Tikva is proud to present a benefit concert featuring our own John Henry McDonald, on Saturday, July 22nd at 4:00pm, at St. John’s Methodist Church, 1200 Old Pecos Trail. A legendary guitarist/ songwriter, John Henry will perform his one man show entitled “A Guru named Frank,” which recounts his music career and life’s work mentoring students in the Austin, Texas region.

From the streets of San Francisco to the jungles of Vietnam, from drug addiction and alcoholism and homelessness, to finding his strength and becoming a reigning figure in financial services in Austin for more than 40 years, John Henry McDonald has lived many lives in one. Throughout the years, he always kept a common thread: a love of folk, gospel and blues music and a talent for telling a good story.

Admission is free, but tickets must be reserved at www.johnhenrymcdonald.com/events
