We are an inclusive and welcoming Reform Jewish congregation from diverse backgrounds joined together to celebrate Jewish culture, education, and the arts.
Beit Tikva first meets at the home of Dr. Sonny & Gail Rapoport in 1995.
Rabbi Levy graduated from the Hebrew Union College with honors in 1980, completing his Master’s thesis on the political Zionism of Martin Buber.
Beit Tikva is led by our president Elisheva Herrera and the board of directors.
CBT’s education center was created by our founding Rabbi, Leonard A. Helman z”l, 1926-2013 of blessed memory. He was well known in the greater Santa Fe area for bringing people from all backgrounds together. secular and observant Jews, and non-Jews. Rabbi Hellman gathered local clergy together and taught us the value of inclusivity.
Rabbi Helman created our library where classes are held. Our programs reflect Rabbi Helman’s desire to bring all of the community together. This is how Beit Tikva came to be known as the Synagogue Different in the City Different!
Rabbi Levy conducts Torah study every Saturday at 9:30 am via Zoom. See calendar for link.
